Client Access Specialist (Full-Time)

Position:         Client Access Specialist
Reports to:     Director of Outpatient Services
Full-time/Non-Exempt -40 Hours/week

 SUMMARY

The Client Access Specialist is an integral part of Helps continuum of care and is a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. The Client Access Specialist works with clients from their initial point of contact with the Agency through to their initial outpatient evaluation to ensure a smooth and seamless entry into Outpatient treatment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Screening/triage of potential clients in AURA
  • Scheduling appointments, verify insurance coverage.
  • Answering phones, directing and transferring calls between all 3 outpatient programs.
  • Provide information about agency programs/services as well as connections to treatment resources in the area.
  • Process/routes daily US and interoffice mail.
  • Performs a variety of office, administrative and support duties, including scanning documents to client’s electronic health records.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma and 2 years of experience in related field or demonstrated skills required, Valid CT Driver’s License.

SKILLS REQUIRED

The position requires an excellent phone manner, the ability to listen and communicate with callers in a professional, respectful, and caring way is essential.  Must have thorough knowledge of Helps programs and services.  Work independently when needed but always as a part of the administrative and outpatient teams.  Must possess and demonstrate a high level of computer knowledge, including but not limited to AURA, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook Express.
