National Depression Screening Day

October 2nd-8th is Mental Illness Awareness Week, and as part of this week is National Depression Screening Day on Thursday, October 6th. On Thursday, many hospitals, clinics, colleges, and community groups nationwide will offer large-scale mood disorder screenings and education for the public. This free and anonymous program will provide screens for depression, generalized anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder and posttraumatic stress disorder, as well as referral to treatment resources, if warranted.
