Staff from HELP, Inc.’s Waterbury, Torrington, and Danbury outpatient programs are attending The Intersection of Trauma and Addiction Conference at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury today. The conference aims to help participants recognize the widespread impact of trauma, describe the physiological connection between trauma/addiction, and integrate trauma specific interventions into substance abuse treatment.
