Counselor – Glenlunan

Residential Counselor for Adult Mental Health Residential Program

The Counselor is an integral part of Helps continuum of care and is an integral part of the residential treatment team.   The Counselor works with clients residing in our residential program from their initial point of contact with the Program through to their final discharge from the agency. The counselor takes direction from the Program Director and the Clinical Supervisor.

 

Fulltime position – 40 hours per week – Consistent Schedule

Hourly Rate $17.43/hour or $36,250 annually

Qualifications

*Valid CT Driver’s License (Required)

*Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field, or an Associate’s Degree and 2 years paid experience in a related field (Required)

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitation of peer support groups in the program.
  • Maintain appropriate clinical records and reports according to established timelines.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings regarding client treatment and meets weekly for supervision with the Clinical Program Director.
  • Provide transportation to clients for appointments as needed.
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned by Lead Recovery Support Professional.
