Recovery Specialist (Full-Time) – Waterbury

Position:         Recovery Specialist
Program:        Glenlunan Residential Services, Waterbury
Reports to:     Program Director

Fulltime/Non-Exempt -40 Hours/week

SUMMARY

The Recovery Specialist is an integral part of Help Inc’s continuum of care and is a key member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. The Recovery Specialist works with clients assisting them to perform daily functions including cooking, and cleaning. They are responsible for completing documentation in our EHR and completing documentation in a timely manner. The Recovery Specialist is responsible for transporting clients to scheduled appointments and reporting back to program staff any pertinent information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

   o   Ensuring the safety and security of clients by means of regularly scheduled checks on the wellbeing of clients and the facility

   o   Assist clients in planning and attaining their individual goals as directed

   o   Provide linkages to community providers and supports

   o   Continue education and training to enhance knowledge and skills

   o   Consult with and assist other staff in carrying out the day to day activities of the program

   o   Communicate all pertinent information to staff in a timely manner.

   o   Collaborate with other staff in carrying out the duties discussed in addition to all other aspects of the program

   o   Responsible for maintaining the client record of all primary caseload client files

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid CT Driver’s License, An Associate’s Degree in Human Services is preferred or High School Diploma and 2 years relevant work experience
