Therapist (Full-Time)

Position: Therapist
Program: Renato Network/Travisano Network outpatient Programs – Waterbury & Danbury

Fulltime/Non-Exempt -40 Hours/week

SUMMARY
The therapist is an integral part of Helps continuum of care and is a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. The Therapist works with clients from their initial point of contact through the clients discharged from the program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o  Facilitate individual, group, and family sessions
o  Maintain a caseload
o  Assist clients with evaluating their skills, assets, and needs through the completion of an assessment tool utilized by the program for each client
o  Consult with and assist other staff in carrying out the day to day activities of the program
o  Responsible for maintaining the client record of all primary caseload client files
o  Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of services provided
o  Report to referral sources as required
o  Other duties as assigned by the Director of Outpatient Services

Minimum Qualifications: Valid CT Driver’s License; LPC, LCSW, or LMFT, Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field is preferred; Or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field, at least two years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services and is actively pursuing a DPH professional license in a behavioral health discipline.

Skills Required: Organizational ability, initiative, consideration of others, excellent written and oral communication skills. Evidence of ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision-making
